Kent Cricket has today announced that Paul Farbrace will step down from the role of Director of Cricket after two years in the post. He joined Kent as Director of Cricket in September 2009, having been Assistant Coach of Sri Lanka for the previous two years. There were strong Kent links before that though, having previously been Academy Director, and prior to that a player – representing the county eight times in first class cricket before joining Middlesex.

Chairman of Kent, George Kennedy CBE commented, “I thank Paul for all of his hard work for the Club. I am personally extremely sorry to see him leave, and wish him well as he moves on. It has been a challenging period for the Club and Paul has worked with great commitment to deliver results.”

Paul Farbrace said, “it has been a privilege to be Director of Cricket. I have enjoyed working with the group of players and wish them well. I am now looking forward to the future and I will always have good memories of my time at Kent.”
