2017 charity revealed

Kent Wildlife Trust will be Kent Cricket’s official charity for 2017.

The club hopes to raise awareness of the charity’s campaigns to protect, recreate and reconnect wild places to produce a robust and vibrant countryside, where a rich, exciting and wild environment can be enjoyed by everyone.

The Trust was founded in 1958 to protect wildlife and wild habitats in the Garden of England and we will be working with the charity to promote these values throughout the 2017 season.

Ed Charles, the Trust’s Head of Marketing, said: “Kent Wildlife Trust is delighted to have been nominated as charity of the year by Kent County Cricket Club.

” At a time where the environment continues to be under constant threat Kent Wildlife Trust values the opportunity to speak to the community about how they can help us in pursuit of our charitable aims – namely protecting wildlife for the future.

“We look forward to our relationship proving fruitful in pursuing our aims.”

Kent Cricket CEO Jamie Clifford said: “We are delighted to welcome Kent Wildlife Trust as this year’s charity and promote their campaigns to protect and enhance green spaces in the Garden of England.

“We are proud to support a range of charities, community groups and good causes across the county including our own Development Trust.”
