Academy keeper Jordan Cox takes eight catches in an innings

Kent Cricket Academy scholar Jordan Cox took eight catches in an innings.

The 15-year-old from Broadstairs claimed eight victims behind the stumps in a Best of Bunbury match at Loughborough.

Cox, who attends Felsted School, was selected as one of the most promising talents in the London & East region at the recent Bunbury Festival and invited to the national showcase.

David Graveney OBE, chairman of selectors for the England Development Programme, personally requested that Jordan should receive a framed copy of the scorecard and the matchball in recognition of his efforts.

Cox is one of three aspiring gloveman in the current Academy squad, alongside Oliver Robinson and Sam Smith, hoping to follow the long line of Kent and England wicketkeepers.
