Alan Igglesden Golf Day to raise funds for Brain Tumour UK

Former Kent and England fast bowler Alan Igglesden is hosting his 12th charity golf day in aid of Brain Tumour UK at Westerham Golf Club on Friday.

Alan, a patron of Brain Tumour UK for many years, has raised more than £150,000 to help people diagnosed with a brain tumour and to fund research.

The Farnborough-born fast bowler was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 1999 and has has been a patron of the charity for many years, and holds an annual golf day which raised £12,800 in 2014 with the support of his brother Kevin.

Brain Tumour UK director of fundraising Louise Taylor said: “We are so grateful to Alan and Kevin for their continuous support. We receive no government funding and so rely 100 per cent on voluntary donations.”
