Ball and Nash impress in 2nds draw with Glamorgan at Neath

Kent shared the spoils after a hard-fought draw with Glamorgan at Neath in the Second XI Championship.
Adam Ball’s 4-42 was the pick of the bowling figures as Kent bowled out the hosts for 247.
Imran Qayyum took 2-51 and there were wickets for Calum Haggett, Adam Riley and Dan Smith.
Brendan Nash hit 114 as Kent built a good first-innings lead with 50s from Matt Pardoe and Dan Smith pushing the total to 396.
Looking to reduce the 149 first-innings deficit, Glamorgan were reduced to 22-3 as Calum Haggett made early inroads, taking 3-33 on his comeback from injury.
Johannes Bothma picked up 2-12 off nine overs with the ball and Adam Ball picked up another wicket and a run-out.
In the end, Kent were unable to break a strong middle-order resistance when the sides shook hands, earning five points each.
