Be Bright Be Seen with Kent Cricket and KCC

Wednesday 26th August 2009

KENT County Cricket Club is joining forces with Kent County Council’s Road Safety team to help keep people safe on the roads.

The team will be attending tonight“s NatWest Pro40 match between the Kent Spitfires and the Surrey Brown Caps. Throughout the floodlit game, the team will be on-hand to give out information and advice to spectators as well hi vis goodies to young people.

The overall message is Be Bright. Be Seen and the campaign will run from now until the end of the year.

Darren Cook, Road Safety Officer commented, "As the nights begin to draw in, we are starting our hi-visibility campaign by promoting the all important message of being bright and being seen while using the roads in Kent. Working with the support of Kent County Cricket Club, we hope to reach young people and help them understand the importance of wearing bright or light coloured clothing when they are out and about in the evenings."
