DBD called up to Bangladesh Premier League

Kent opener Daniel Bell-Drummond has flown out to join Rajshahi Kings in the Bangladesh Premier League.

The 24-year-old, who signed a contract extension with Kent in July 2017, has been signed as injury cover for the squad which includes Sussex and former England limited-overs batsman Luke Wright and West Indies’ Lendl Simmons.

Bell-Drummond, enjoyed an excellent season in white-ball cricket – top-scoring for Kent with 443 runs in eight Royal London One-Day Cup matches and sharing a world record T20 opening stand of 207 with Joe Denly at Chelmsford.

After three matches, Rajshahi sit fifth in the seven-strong BPL group table with two wins from their opening five matches.
