Denly passes 4,000 T20 runs on BBL debut

Joe Denly hit a quick-fire 43 as he helped Sydney Sixers to victory on his Big Bash League debut.

Chasing 157 to win, the 31-year-old Kent Cricket Academy graduate hit four fours and three sixes in a 29-ball knock.

The Canterbury-born batsman passed 4,000 runs in his T20 career after a busy winter playing for Dhaka Dynamites and the Sixers followed a prolific summer for Kent.

The 2017 player of the year helped his new side to their first win in the tournament.
