Nick Selman and Sean Dickson hit centuries in each innings as Kent’s second XI drew with MCC Young Cricketers on a flat pitch at High Wycombe.

Brisbane-born Selman’s first-innings 151 and half-centuries from Alex Blake, Imran Qayyum and Dan Smith gave Kent a 123-run lead as both sides declared as batsmen prospered.

Batting again, Dickson scored 108 as the 23-year-old from Johannesburg added 137 for the first wicket with Ryan Davies (70).

Fabian Cowdrey hit 36 off 35 balls and Brendan Nash enjoyed some time in the middle, scoring 38 not out.

Alex Blake smashed 20 not out in 10 balls as Kent set the hosts a notional 406 to win.

Dickson capped a good day by picking up the opening wicket before England Under-19 bowler Hugh Bernard got the second.

Sussex youngster Ollie Graham scored 109 off 108 balls before Johannes Bothma removed him shortly before the sides shook hands.
