Gibbs returns to Kent Women squad for County Championship title deciders

Kent have named a 14-strong squad as they bid to win a record seventh County Championship title with trips to Middlesex and Berkshire on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday.

All-rounder Grace Gibbs returns to action following injury but Kent will be without their trio of England internationals who are contesting NatWest IT20s as part of the Women's Ashes.

Head coach Stuart Eddicott said: "We need two wins this weekend to retain the title.

"On Sunday, we face a strong Middlesex side so we will need to be on the top of our game to ensure we come away from that with a victory.

"Monday we face Berkshire, who on their day can be a match for any side in this league, so again we need to be prepared for this."

Kent Women squad: 2 Tammy Beaumont (c), 24 Alice Davidson-Richards, 8 Charlotte Pape, 17 Emily Thompson, 4 Deanna Cooper, 61 Grace Gibbs, 18 Hannah Jelfs, 11 Jenni Jackson, 26 Kara Sutherland, 14 Lauren Griffiths (wk), 19 Lottie Bryan, 6 Megan Belt, 10 Phoebe Franklin, 53 Tash Farrant.
