Glamorgan v Kent (Friday, 11am)

Kent could name an unchanged Specsavers County Championship side for the trip to Sophia Gardens in Cardiff on Friday (11am).

After a nine-wicket win at Durham last month, Kent will again have the option to bowl first without contesting the toss.

New Zealand paceman Matt Henry, who has taken 19 wickets in his opening two matches for the club, is relishing the opportunity to make early in-roads in Wales.

The 26-year-old said: “You always want to contribute and especially to a win. I’ve looked to pitch the ball up to make the most of the early-season conditions and challenge the batsman’s defence.

“The bowlers are excited by the challenge at Glamorgan. They’ve made some good signings but we’ve done our homework on their players so we’ll be ready.

“We have a good balance of younger and older players as well as a few new faces like myself, Harry Podmore and Heino Kuhn which means there’s a good feel around the group and that was reflected in our last performance.

“There’s a great bunch of guys at Kent and everyone has made me feel welcome and I’ve settled very quickly.”

Glamorgan are set to include Australia left-handed batsman Shaun Marsh, who scored a century on his debut as the county’s overseas signing.

Veteran Australian seamer Michael Hogan will lead the hosts with former South Africa paceman Marchant de Lange set to return after taking eight wickets in their opening match against Gloucestershire before resting against Middlesex.

Kent’s Mitch Claydon (hand), Grant Stewart (hamstring) and James Tredwell (shoulder) remain sidelined with injuries.
