Kent travel to Bristol looking for a fourth successive Specsavers County Championship on Saturday (11am) to boost promotion hopes.

After qualifying for the Royal London One-Day Cup knockout stages, Kent revert to red-ball cricket before Thursday’s 50-over quarter-final at Trent Bridge.

Paceman Grant Stewart and wicketkeeper-batsman Ollie Robinson are named in a 13-man squad with Alex Blake (thumb), Sam Billings (England duty), Calum Haggett (back), James Tredwell (shoulder) unavailable for the visitors.

Stewart took 6/67 for the second XI this week after returning from a hamstring strain and Robinson has scored three half-centuries and a double hundred so far this summer.

Gloucestershire’s 19-year-old Bristol-born off-spinner George Drissell could make his second Championship appearance after making his debut last season.

Wicketkeeper-batsman James Bracey and all-rounder Keiran Noema-Barnett return to the hosts’ squad after not playing in the Royal London One-Day Cup.
