Goodman leads the way with bat and ball in second team game

The draw looks the most likely result going into the final day of Kent“s Second Eleven Championship match with Surrey at Charterhouse School.

After winning the toss and electing to bat, Surrey scored 290 in their first innings. All-rounder Will Rudge was the pick of the Kent attack with figures of 3-59 while England U19 all-rounder James Goodman (pictured)took 2-23.

Kent were then dismissed for 199 in their first innings. Goodman was the top run-scorer with an unbeaten 83.

Second time around, Surrey reached 34-1 when rain brought an early finish to the day“s play.
