Kent boys reach Bunbury T20 final

Three Kent boys featured for London & East at the 2017 ESCA Under-15 Bunbury Festival at Stowe School.

In the first 50-over match, London & East won by eight wickets against Midlands, who won the toss and chose to bat.

Ben Mills took 1/39 in six overs, Harry Houillon took a catch and academy scholar Joe Gordon (pictured above) scored 19 off 21 balls as they chased the target with 15.4 overs to spare.

Next up, London and East lost the toss and the North batted first, scoring 195-9.

In reply, Houillon scored 42 off 71 balls as they fought back from 51-6 to fall just 19 runs short and failed to reach the 50-over final.

In the opening T20 match, London and East won the toss in the third match and chased again versus the Midlands.

Mills took 2/19 in a fine four-over spell with Gordon and Houillon taking a catch each as the Midlands posted 143-7.

Gordon hit a run-a-ball 12 and Houillon scored 2 as they picked up a four-wicket win with an over to spare.

London and East then defeated South and West by fielding first yet again after winning the toss.

Mills took 1/32 off eight overs before Houillon hit 80 not out as they secured an eight-wicket win, scoring eleven fours and a six.

In the T20 final, London and East lost to South and West by five wickets with nine balls to spare as Houillon scored 8 off 4 balls.
