Kent Cricket saddened by the death of Peter Hearn

The Club is saddened to report that Peter Hearn, who played 200 matches for the County, has died aged 87.

Hearn, who was capped in 1947, was a regular in the Kent eleven in the late forties and fifties. The left-handed batsman scored 8,138 runs for Kent at an average of 25.51, scoring 7 hundreds. He also bowled occasional slow left arm spin and took 22 wickets. He also played for Tunbridge Wells Cricket Club – the town of his birth.

The thoughts of the Club are with Peter’s family and friends at this sad time.
