Kent join DW Fitness First

Kent Cricket players are getting into shape for the new season using the facilities at DW Fitness First.
Under the new partnership, cricketers will have access to the Canterbury club’s facilities including the fully equipped gym floor and functional area, more than 65 group exercise and functional classes each week and use of the 20m pool, jacuzzis and steam room.
Jamie Spiers, general manager of DW Fitness First in Canterbury said: “I am delighted to welcome Kent Cricket to the club. Our mission is to support the community in achieving their fitness goals whatever they may be.
“Kent Cricket have their own competitive goals set for the season and I’m confident we can play a part in helping them achieve these by offering access to what we believe is the best fitness facility in the county.”
The Canterbury branch of DW Fitness First is based at Maybrook Retail Park on Vauxhall Road in Broad Oak with an additional facility based at Westwood Cross shopping centre in Thanet.
Head of science and medicine Nimmo Reid said: “The facilities at DW Fitness First are first class.
“They give the players a range of activities to prepare themselves for the season, maintain fitness, strength and conditioning as well as aiding recovery from training and matches.”
