Kent name squad for County Championship opener

On-loan paceman James Harris could make his Kent debut as Gloucestershire visit The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence on Friday (7 April, 11am start).

The 26-year-old Welshman joined Kent this week from Middlesex and is line to play the Specsavers County Championship opener.

Skipper Sam Northeast (hamstring) and paceman Matt Coles (foot) have been passed fit but batsman Sean Dickson is sidelined with a hamstring injury so Hampshire loanee Joe Weatherley is included in a 12-man squad.

Entry to the match is free for under 18s and a bouncy castle will be available on Saturday and Sunday.
