Kent County Cricket Club is to release spinner Rob Ferley (pictured)and pace bowler Warren Lee with immediate effect.

Ferley, 28, made his first class debut in 2001 and spent two spells with the club; either side of a move to Nottinghamshire.

Lee, the 22-year-old right-arm seam bowler, made his List A debut for Kent last season and was a second team regular during his time with the county.

Commenting on their departures, Kent team director, Paul Farbrace, said: “Both Rob and Warren are talented players in their own right so it is disappointing to see them leave, but the time has come for them to take on new challenges. Both are keen to stay in the game and I wish them the best of luck with their future plans. I would like to thank them for their contribution to Kent cricket.”
