Kent U13 Girls Reach Performance League County Final

Kent Under 13 Performance Girls Team have won their League and completed an unbeaten season. The team, like all Kent Girls Performance squads, is proud to be sponsored by St Lawrence College, Ramsgate.

Since February 2014; the U13 Performance Girls Squad have committed themselves to regular squad training, fitness and match practice and have developed a fantastic work ethic and passion for the game. Accompanied by the hard work and dedication of newly appointed coach Peter Cavender; he has successfully lead the team to record an unbeaten season.

The 2014 U13 Girls Squad have performed to an exceptional level, showing strength in all disciplines, from five wicket halls to 80 run partnerships, these players have demonstrated their outstanding ability.

The U13s will travel to Uppingham Cricket Club in Leicester on Thursday 28th August for the finals with Warwickshire, Yorkshire and Hampshire.

The Semi finals draw will see Kent Play Warwickshire in a 35 over game on the day..

2014 Performance League Highlights.

Bowling:

Kitty Perry – 7 overs, 7 runs, 3 wickets, 4 maidens v Berkshire

Jess Golden – 6 overs, 7 runs, 4 wickets, 3 maidens v Middlesex

Victoria Bagge – 5 overs, 11 runs, 3 wickets v Essex

Chelsey Rowson -5 overs, 14 runs, 2 wickets v Middlesex

Victoria Bagge and Chelsey Rowson – 3 wickets Each v Sussex

Masha Harriman – 5 overs, 12 runs, 2 wickets v Surrey

Batting:

Georgina Hill – 51 runs (maiden 50) during Malvern Festival

Jess Golden – 44 runs no. v Sussex

Georgina Hill – 38 runs no. v Essex

Georgina Hill – 36 runs no. v Surrey

Mattie Jones – 32 runs v Berkshire

Kitty Perry – 23 runs v Middlesex.

Fielding:

Special mention to Maddie Salama for taking three catches v Sussex and Jodie Hobson for a consistently outstanding level of fielding.

A special mention also to first time Captain Jodie Hobson who has demonstrated excellent leadership skill. Jodie has developing a fantastic tactical awareness for the game, showing dedication to the team and determination to encourage and push the girls to the next level. Jodie is a huge team player and should be commended for leading Kent U13’s to the Performance finals.
