Adam Ball leads a 12-man squad looking to break into the first XI by impressing against Gloucestershire in the Second XI Trophy at The Spitfire Ground on Monday (8 May).

The 24-year-old Greenwich-born all-rounder has started the season in style with two centuries in his last two matches and some wickets with his left-arm swing.

Among the bowlers, Calum Haggett and Imran Qayyum have featured in first-team squads this summer and will be hoping the departure of Wayne Parnell can open up a spot for Wednesday’s squad to face Gloucestershire in Bristol.

Sandwich Town’s Kai Appleby and The Mote’s Geremy Fatouros bolster the batting.

Entry to all second XI matches is free and the Lime Tree Cafe will be open serving breakfast, lunch and barista coffee.
