The Kent head coach said: “We’ve got four more games in this block of red-ball cricket and we need to get back to our very best.

“Tunbridge Wells is a difficult place to win and take 20 wickets but we have prepared and will do our best to win.

“Last year, we played well and got the best of the draw. They will know the ground a bit better.

“It was a great win at Hove and I don’t think too many people outside of Kent expected that. They are a good side but we outplayed them and caught them a bit cold as it was their first game of the season.

“They have hit a bit of form now and we won’t take anything for granted. They are a dangerous side with some very good cricketers and a bowling attack that can hurt you.”

Sussex paceman Steve Magoffin, who has led the attack with so much success in recent years, is fit again after a knee injury and could replace former South Africa all-rounder Wiese.

Ben Brown (broken finger), Matt Machan (wrist) and former Kent Cricket Academy scholar Ollie Robinson (sore shins) are all sidelined for Sussex.

Joe Weatherley is added to the Kent XI that travelled to Leicester with Adam Rouse passed fit after injuring his thumb keeping wicket at Grace Road. Mitch Claydon is away on compassionate leave.
