Kent’s FGS Plant Tour opponents revealed

Kent will play Leeward Island Hurricanes, Guyana Jaguars, Jamaica Scorpions and USA on the 2018 FGS Plant Tour.
The Spitfires have been drawn in the West Indies Super50 Group B based in Antigua with the opening game on Wednesday 31 January against seven-times champions Guyana.

Each side will play their four group opponents twice with the last group match on Sunday 18 February against hosts and four-time winners Leeward Islands.
It will be the first time Kent have played the US national side and the first time against an American side since a tour match against the Gentlemen of Philadelphia at Canterbury in 1908.
The county played in the United States on a landmark tour in September-October 1903 when they played in Philadelphia, New York and Pennsylvania.
Kent could face familiar opposition with Hampshire in Group A and the top two from each group competing in the semi-finals taking place on 21-22 February before the final on Saturday 24 February.
