Laura Marsh took three wickets as Sydney Sixers won four consecutive games at St Kilda to revive their unlikely hopes of reaching the Women’s Big Bash League playoffs.

After losing their first six fixtures, the Sixers have won five on the spin with doubles over Melbourne Renegades and Adelaide Strikers over the course of Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Kent’s overseas player for 2015, Kara Sutherland, played in all four matches and Marsh only took part in Saturday’s win against Adelaide.

Defending 146 for six against the Strikers on Saturday, Marsh was the pick of the bowlers with 3/18 off four overs and dismissed both openers: England wicketkeeper Sarah Taylor and West Indies left-hander Stacy-Ann King.
