McLaren to miss Championship trip to Northants

KEYall-rounder Ryan McLaren (pictured)will be rested for Kent“s LV County Championship match with Northamptonshire, starting tomorrow at Wantage Road. The 26-year-old recently sustained a side injury and continues to be rested ahead of Saturday“s Twenty20 Finals Day at Edgbaston.

Kent physio, Nimmo Reid, said: “Ryan“s recovery is going as expected. We are continuing to rest him, ahead of T20 Finals Day, as he is such an important player for the team.”

Bowlers Martin Saggers and Robbie Joseph remain on the sidelines. Saggers is visiting a knee specialist today, after recently pulling out of a second team game, while Joseph is still struggling with a shoulder injury.
