Memorial Service for David Clark to be held at Canterbury Cathedral

A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of David Graham Clark is to be held at Canterbury Cathedral on Tuesday, 26th November 2013 at 3.00pm.

David Clark was born in Barming, Kent and played 75 matches for Kent County Cricket Club between 1946 and 1951, and captained the County from 1949 – 1951. He was Chairman of Kent from 1970 – 1974 and President of the Club in 1990.

He was manager of an MCC tour of India in 1963/4 and later served as Treasurer and as President of MCC in 1978/9. He also chaired a number of MCC committees, which reviewed the structures of the County Championship and the role of the MCC.

The Memorial Service will allow friends and family, as well as members of the public, the opportunity to give thanks for the life of David, who passed away recently.

Following the service, you are invited to the Chiesman Pavilion at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence from approximately 4pm onwards for afternoon tea.
