Middlesex v Kent Spitfires: Unchanged squad travel to Radlett

Kent Spitfires have named an unchanged 12-man squad for the trip to Radlett to play Middlesex in Royal London One-Day Cup today in a busy period for the squad.

After a fine five-wicket win in the competition against Hampshire last night, Kent face seven days of cricket in the next nine with 50-over matches against Sussex Sharks on Sunday and Lancashire Lightning next Saturday (August 8) at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence.

Despite a season-ending injury to David Griffiths, the young Spitfires seam attack has stepped up in limited-overs cricket to the delight of Kent's coaching staff.

Head coach Jimmy Adams said: "It has been so good to see the growth of lads such as Matt Coles, Matt Hunn, Ivan Thomas and Calum Haggett.

"Credit must go to the people at the top and the cricket committee, who set their stall out some years ago to invest in these young men, and credit too to the likes of Simon Willis and the guys working in the Academy system.

"These bowlers are still a work in progress but it's so encouraging to witness their development as a group."
