Middlesex v Kent (Thu, 5.30pm)

Kent Spitfires have named a 13-man squad to play Middlesex in front of a sell-out crowd at Old Deer Park in Richmond on Thursday (5.30pm).

Kent will be hoping to bounce back from defeat to Gloucestershire as will their hosts who lost their last two outings against Hampshire and Somerset.

The Spitfires will be aiming for a second away win inside the M25 within a week following Friday’s win at The Oval against Surrey.

Head coach Matt Walker said: “We’ve got 10 games left to put it right and we need to go on a run and get some momentum away from the rest.

“I have complete faith in this group of players to bounce back. It’s a new game, different opposition on a different ground. We can’t dwell on it too much and we’ll try and put it right.

“Each side will present different challenges with players that can hurt you but so do we. Playing at an outground could level things a bit.”

Paceman Adam Milne is sidelined with a thigh injury so Calum Haggett returns to the squad.

Middlesex have only 500 tickets available on the day, which will be available to purchase from 4pm when gates open. The advice is to therefore arrive early to avoid disappointment and lengthy delays entering the ground.
