Players help raise £6,000 at Golf Day

Several members of the Kent squad turned out to raise money for community and grassroots cricket with a golf day at Canterbury Golf Club last week.

The event raised almost £6,000 with support from the club’s major sponsors WW Martin and featured coaches Matt Walker and Allan Donald (pictured above), who took part in a Q&A session.

Mitch Claydon’s fourball finished top of the rankings with teams from Kreston Reeves and Bexley Cricket Club in second and third place respectively.

Afterwards, the golfers enjoyed a delicious lunch at the clubhouse with auction and raffle prizes kindly donated by Golf Escapes, Shepherd Neame, Princes Golf Club, Boughton Golf Club, Sir Tim Rice, George Kennedy CBE, Stephen Billings and Sussex Cricket.
