Kent have announced their pre-season schedule for 2011 and will play two warm-up matches, in addition to their fitness and practice sessions.

Director of Cricket Paul Farbrace has arranged a three-day match against Lancashire at Beckenham, starting on Monday 28 March.

Kent will then play Sussex in a one-day friendly at Canterbury on Tuesday, 5 April.

The players report back for fitness testing on Friday 11 March and we will have key access to the session on the new-look Kent Cricket website, which launches later this month.

Commenting on the pre-season schedule, Farbrace said: “Pre-season is the most important time of the year for the team. People have been away, doing different things, over the course of the winter. Some have been working hard in Canterbury; others have got some sun on their backs. Pre-season is important as we are all back together and it is a time to formulate plans. This is a big season for us and we are looking forward to pulling together as a group, getting stuck in and working extremely hard so we can hit the ground running. We need to start in a positive frame of mind and I have genuine belief in our group of players.”
