Porchlight users enjoy Christmas lunch at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence

Kent Cricket spread some festive cheer on Monday by welcoming service users from homelessness charity Porchlight for Christmas lunch.
More than 50 people joined volunteers for a three-course meal, kindly provided by Centerplate, followed by a quiz, party games and presents distributed by volunteers from Chaucer Insurance.
Wendy Checksfield of Porchlight said: “Thanks to Kent Cricket and all the volunteers for making it a great day.We’ve had an excellent turn-out from our service users.”
Catering manager Vicky Bennett said: “We invited Porchlight here today. We felt that we wanted to give a little back to the community – give them a nice lunch and let them enjoy their day.”
Porchlight service user Sean said: “It’s been lovely to catch with people over a period of time through Porchlight and it’s been a fantastic day and we’re all enjoying ourselves."
