Kent's Adam Riley and Sam Billings combined to take a consolation wicket as Yorkshire defeated the MCC by nine wickets in Abu Dhabi.

Fresh from taking his 100th first-class wicket on his 23rd birthday yesterday, Riley dismissed Alex Lees, stumped by Billings for 8 as the Sidcup-born spinner claimed one wicket for 28 runs after three for 90 in the first innings.

The reigning LV= County Champions won at a canter despite early resistance from the MCC top order through Nick Compton (74) and James Hildreth (49) before losing the last five wickets for 27 runs.

Billings played confidently to reach 26 off 35 balls before nicking an outside edge to England Lions colleague Jonathan Bairstow off the bowling of Jack Brooks.

The contest was all but over as Adam Riley stood his ground to carry his bat with five not out before striking with the pink Kookaburra ball under the lights in the UAE.
