Zak Crawley hit an unbeaten century and fit-again Ivan Thomas took four wickets as Kent defeated Jersey in two 50-over matches on the Channel Island.

Crawley, continued his rich vein of form, hitting fourteen fours and two sixes as he reached three figures off just 87 balls.

In reply to Kent’s 249, Ivan Thomas made early in-roads removing both openers and Adam Riley took 2/34 in 10 overs and Ball took 1/41 after a run-out to reduce the hosts to 140 for seven.

Academy left-armer Ollie Hills took 1/32 off six before Matt Hunn returned to claim 2/16 in eight overs and Thomas finished with 3/41 off 8.3 overs as Jersey fell 38 runs of the target.

In the second match, the wickets were shared by Charlie Hartley (2/18 off 7 overs), Hunn (2/15 off 6) and academy scholars Gray (2/20 off 10) and Hills (2/39 off 9.2) with one apiece for Riley (1/22 off 8) and Thomas (1/25 off 8) as Jersey were dismissed for 142.
