Kent host oldest rivals Surrey on Friday (1 June, 11am) and Gloucestershire on Sunday (3 June, 11am) in a 50-over double-header that could shape the Royal London One-Day Cup season.

Gloucestershire were the first visitors at the inaugural county one-day match, with the Westcountrymen winning with 22 balls to spare despite half-centuries from Andrew Symonds and Geraint Jones.

The county’s winning run began later that season as Kent beat a talented Warwickshire team by 10 runs via the Duckworth-Lewis method.

Mark Wagh top-scored with 83 for the visitors as James Tredwell took 3/35 before Ed Smith hit 81 to secure victory.

After a four-year hiatus, Kent won by 37 runs as Neil Dexter hit an unbeaten hundred and Rob Key scored 73 in the Friends Provident Trophy quarter-final against Somerset.

Craig Kieswetter top-scored with 90 for the visitors and Yasir Arafat took 3/23 and Azhar Mahmood took 1/28 to reach the last four.

The most recent one-day fixture was held in 2016 as Kent Spitfires beat neighbours Surrey by one wicket in the final over.

Alex Blake hit a six off the penultimate ball to clinch victory with an unbeaten 66 off 62 balls to guide Kent home after Kumar Sangakkara earlier top-scored with 58 for Surrey.
