Stewart, who suffering a hamstring strain in the opening Specsavers County Championship match, scored 16 as Town posted 191 all out with Kent academy scholar Jordan Cox top-scoring with 71.

Jason Benn was the pick of the Bexley attack with 3/30 after inviting the hosts to bat first at The Butts.

Sandwich sealed a 98-run win as Ashleigh Cox taking 3/25 and opener Calum Basey (43) top-scoring in Bexley’s total of 93.

Alex Blake hit an unbeaten 38 to seal a comfortable seven-wicket win for Beckenham at Lordswood. Academy graduate Ollie Robinson took a catch for the visitors as they bundled out the hosts for 130.

Pakistan international paceman Asad Ali took 3-15 on debut and new-ball partner Will MacVicar was again pick of the attack with 4/19 in nine overs.

At The Nevill Ground, Alex Williams top-scored with 96 as Tunbridge Wells posted 214 after being invited to bat by newcomers Bromley Common, with Matt Taylor taking 5/44.

In reply, the promoted side could only muster 121 with three wickets each for Aristides Karvelas and former Kent Academy scholar Marcus O’Riordan.

Sevenoaks Vine defeated new boys Bickley Park in a final-over thriller. Miles Richardson (82) and Cyrus White (52*) shared a century sixth-wicket stand for Vine and Kent second XI player Richardson took 4/36 to put the hosts in control.

Another sixth-wicket stand almost secured an unlikely win for Bickley Park as Warren Lee (79) and Michael Ridley (40) put on 94 before three run-outs secured victory for Sevenoaks.

Blackheath secured a comfortable seven-wicket win in a low-scoring match at Tenterden. Captain Ben Price top-scored with 30 for the hosts before Blackheath duo George Wells (69) and Tanweer Sikandar (40) helped the visitors chase the total with 17.1 overs to spare.

Calum Haggett took three wickets for Bridgwater in the West of England Premier League.

His three victims included Gloucestershire all-rounder Ryan Higgins as the 27-year-old seamer picked up 3/40 in ten overs.

Higgins returned the favour, bowling Haggett for 27.
