Stewart takes six wickets in Second XI draw

Paceman Grant Stewart continued his comeback from injury with six wickets in a Second XI Championship draw against Glamorgan at The County Ground, Beckenham.

Zak Crawley and Don Manuwelege hit half-centuries as Kent posted 206 in the first innings before Glamorgan earned a 180-run lead despite figures of 6/67 in 28 overs for Stewart.

Ivan Thomas claimed 2/67 and there was a wicket each for spinners Adam Riley and former Academy scholar Jan Gray.

Facing four sessions at the crease to save the game, New Zealander Mitch Renwick (36) and wicketkeeper-batsman Ollie Robinson (47) provided early resistance before gritty 50s from Academy scholar Kashif Ali and Beckenham player Will MacVicar showed his all-round abilities to force the draw.
