Surrey v Kent – Day Two – The Oval
Close of play, day two: Surrey 387 & 138-7, Kent 250
Fifteen wickets fell during the second day of the LV=CC match against Surrey at The Oval.
Alex Blake (96) and Geraint Jones (61) formed a significant 138 run partnership which helped Kent reach 250 all out, and kept them in the game. This was 137 short of Surrey’s first innings total, but Surrey seemed less comfortable in their second innings.
David Balcombe took 3 for 45, reducing Surrey to 138 for 7 and restricting Surrey’s lead to 275 by close of play.
