During the early stages of his career, the former Beth’s Grammar School student has based his game on bowling a nagging line outside of off stump while providing lower-order stability with the bat.
After making his debut at the end of the 2010 campaign, Adam went on to make nine first-class appearances during the summer of 2011 and has become an integral part of the Spitfires t20 team, whilst continuing to study at university.
During the 2012 campaign, the left-arm seam bowler took 12 FL T20 wickets at an average of just over 18 to top the Spitfires’ wicket-taking charts. It capped a year which saw him also skipper his country at the Under 19 World Cup.
In 2013, Adam developed further despite missing a chunk of the season through injury. In the final game of the LV= County Championship season, he struck 69, a first-class best, to help Kent seal a memorable win over Lancashire, and show that the youngster can contribute in all forms of the game - with both bat and ball.
Ball signed a long-term contract extension in 2014 before spending a winter in Queensland, playing for Redlands Tigers.
