Chatham-born Chris is another local batsman who will hope for greater opportunities in 2012. The left-hander got off to an impressive start, scoring 43, against a strong Pakistan attack, on his first class debut.
His next opportunity came in the LV= County Championship, when he made his debut against Gloucestershire in July 2011. Opening the batting, Chris contributed only four runs in the game but is highly regarded amongst the Kent setup, having been with the club since under 13 level.
The former Fulston Manor School student also has one List A appearance to his name when he was handed a debut against the Netherlands in the CB40 competition. 2012 will be a big summer for the batsman, who also bowls off-spin, as he looks for more opportunities in the first-team.
