Kent Cricket’s Remembrance Service

On Friday 11 November, Kent Cricket staff, players & coaches will gather at the Colin Blythe Memorial at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence to remember members of Kent’s Men’s sides that gave their lives in war – their names inscribed on the Memorial itself.

The service will be led by the Club’s Chaplain, Barney de Berry. There will also be wreaths laid by the Club & the Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment (PWRR), followed by a two minutes’ silence at 11:00.

This year – with COVID restrictions now relaxed – the Club is inviting a limited number of Members to attend the short Remembrance Service. Members will need to book their free ticket to attend the event via the button below.

There are a maximum of 50 tickets available on a first-come-first-serve basis:

Members are asked to gather at the Colin Blythe Memorial from 10:30 in order for the service to start promptly at 10:50.

The Oriole at Lime Tree Café will be open for Members before and after the service to purchase tea, coffee and other light refreshments.

Parking on-site is available adjacent to the Les Ames Stand for those who attend. As well as accessible parking, a small number of chairs will be available for those who are unable to stand through the service.
