Walking Cricket has been growing steadily across the UK over the last decade, opening the game up to people of all ages and abilities. It keeps the spirit of traditional cricket alive but with a gentler, more accessible twist.

This adapted format uses a softer ball, is often played indoors, and moves at a relaxed pace—making it perfect for anyone looking to stay active in a fun, low‑pressure way. Every player gets involved: batting, bowling, fielding, scoring and umpiring.

And of course, Walking Cricket is about more than just the match itself. The time spent afterwards—sharing a cuppa, catching up, and connecting with others—is every bit as important as the game on the court.
