168th Canterbury Cricket Week
Monday 12th August 2019
The 2019 edition of Canterbury Cricket Week begins this Friday, 16th August, as Kent Spitfires welcome Sussex Sharks to The Spitfire Ground, St. Lawrence in the Vitality Blast.
A Specsavers County Championship tie with Essex starting on Sunday 18th August and another Vitality Blast match against our oldest rivals Surrey on Friday 23rd August will complete the 168th edition of the oldest cricket festival in England.
As per previous incarnations of Canterbury Cricket Week, special activities will be running alongside the action on the field:
Kent Spitfires vs. Sussex Sharks – Vitality Blast (16/08/19)
- An action photobooth provided by Photo Team – see yourself as a member of the Kent Spitfires squad!
- Princess of Wales’ Royal Regiment cadets will be in attendance running activities
- CAMRA marquee
- Hosted by presenters from KMFM
Kent vs. Essex – Specsavers County Championship (18/08/19 – 21/08/19)
Day One
- The world famous Claret Jug, one of golf’s biggest prizes that is awarded to the champion golfer of the year, will be in attendance with a year to go until The Open Championship at Royal St. George’s in Sandwich in 2020
- Canterbury’s Expression Art Café will be running arts and crafts activities
- Bouncy castle

Day Two

Day Three
- Laying of a wreath by the Kent County Cricket Supporters Club, commemorating Kent’s fallen in both world wars at Lunch

Tickets are still available for all three fixtures, however Frank Woolley Stand tickets for both Vitality Blast fixtures have now completely sold out.
