2020 Spitfire Kent Cricket Awards to be hosted digitally

The Club is delighted to confirm that the 2020 Spitfire Kent Cricket Awards will be premiered exclusively on the Club’s YouTube channel and Facebook page at 19:00 on Thursday 15th October.
Members of Kent’s men’s and women’s first XIs will come together to celebrate the unique 2020 season, which saw a quarter final appearance in the Vitality Blast, a strong showing in the Bob Willis Trophy and the Kent Women’s squad representing county in the newly formed London Championship.
The evening will include exclusive interviews from the Club’s playing staff, along with announcing all the winners of this year’s Club awards.
This year, two new men’s awards are up for grabs: Emerging Player of the Year, awarded to a player that has shown the most promise at the start of their Kent career, as well as Moment of the Year, highlighting a special on-field achievement.
The ceremony will be premiered via the Club’s YouTube and Facebook accounts and will culminate in crowning Kent Cricket’s Men’s Club Player of the Year. This award is decided by our members and supporters and voting has now closed.

Kent Cricket CEO, Simon Storey, said: “Although we cannot enjoy the Spitfire Kent Cricket Awards in person this year, it is important that we acknowledge the achievements of both our men’s and women’s sides this season.
“This has been a season we will not forget for many different reasons and everyone associated with Kent Cricket should be proud of what has been achieved in extraordinary circumstances.
“By hosting the event online, we hope that as many of our members and supporters will be able join us, to help celebrate our on-field season and look forward to another successful year in 2021.”
