Kent Spitfires will kick off their 2020 Vitality Blast campaign by welcoming Hampshire to The Spitfire Ground, St. Lawrence on Thursday 27th August.

The Club will play ten matches in the South Group of the competition, in a format unchanged from last year but now in three regionalised groups, with a potential quarter final match on 1st/2nd October ahead of this season’s Vitality Blast Finals Day at Edgbaston on Saturday 3rd October.

Kent’s showdowns with Surrey, the Oldest Rivalry in world cricket, will take place at Canterbury on Tuesday 1st September, whilst the return fixture at the Kia Oval is scheduled to be the Spitfires’ final group-stage match on Sunday 20th September.

The ‘Battle of the Bridge’ contests against neighbours Essex Eagles, will begin with Kent’s away tie, hosted at the Kia Oval due to broadcasting arrangements, on Saturday 5th September. The return fixture at The Spitfire Ground will take place on Friday 18th September.

As it stands, all matches are set to be played behind-closed-doors, but will be live streamed via the Club’s website.

Kent’s Director of Cricket, Paul Downton, said: “We know our supporters have been waiting patiently to hear news about the start of this year’s Vitality Blast, so we’re pleased to now share our fixtures in this competition for 2020.

“Whilst we won’t be able to draw on the fantastic atmosphere our fans generate at our home matches, we have already seen the tremendous support shown to the players in the Bob Willis Trophy via e-mail and social media.

“I know that the players are all looking forward to the start of the Vitality Blast, and will look to build on some strong performances already this Summer.”
