Academy scholar hits century for U17 boys

Academy scholar Julian O’Riordan hit a superb century for Kent Under 17 boys in a three-day match against Middlesex at Merchant Taylor’s School.

The visitors posted 395 with half-centuries from fellow scholars Joe Gordon (88) and Charlie Russell-Vick (82).

In reply, the hosts posted 481 for nine with Tom Davis (4/76 off 24 overs) and Taylor Chandler (2/53 off 19) the pick of the attack.
