Adam Ball to play for Claremont CC in South Africa

Kent all-rounder Adam Ball is to play for Claremont Cricket Club in Cape Town this winter.

The 22-year-old left-arm bowler and right-handed batsman will use the spell in South Africa for some warm-weather training and strength and conditioning work before the 2016 season.

The former England Under 19 captain played four LV= County Championship matches and appeared three times in NatWest T20 Blast.

Claremont is the third oldest club in South Africa with the first XI competing in the Western Province First Division.

Former players include Desmond Haynes (West Indies), David Steele (England), Graeme Gooch (England), Allan Lamb (England) and Kent and England captain Mike Denness.
