Ball performs well as England U19ís win their World Cup warm-up match

Monday 11th January 2010

Kent Academy all-rounder Adam Ball (pictured) played a key role in England Under 19“s eight-wicket win over Papua New Guinea in Christchurch, New Zealand. The match was one of two warm-up games ahead of the upcoming Under 19 World Cup.

Other than Nathan Buck, Adam“s figures of 5-1-12-0 were the tightest amongst the six bowlers used.
England“s other warm-up fixture is tomorrow against hosts New Zealand at St Andrew“s College, also in Christchurch.
Their first Group A encounter is versus Hong Kong on Saturday at the Bert Sutcliffe Oval in Lincoln, just outside the South Island“s largest city.

Our reporter, Charles Randall, is following Adam“s progress and will post regular reports from New Zealand.
