The Spitfire Ground, St. Lawrence in Canterbury will host two England Women Royal London ODIs in 2020.
Home to Kent Cricket, The Spitfire Ground will be the venue of England’s one-day clashes with India Women on Monday, 6th July as well as the visit of South Africa Women on Tuesday 8th September.
Canterbury has previously hosted a number of England Women ODIs in recent, including a Women’s Ashes clash in 2019 where Ellyse Perry recorded the fourth best ever Women’s ODI bowling figures of 7/22, an ODI in 2018 where Kent captain Tammy Beaumont scored a century, and also a Women’s Ashes Test match in 2015.
On playing for England once more at The Spitfire Ground, St. Lawrence, Kent captain Beaumont said:
“I love playing at Canterbury, whether for Kent or for England it’s always pretty special to play there.
“I remember playing on the outfield in a Kwik Cricket competition when I was a kid and the first club I played for wasn’t that far away so it feels nice to come back and play at my home ground.
“It’s great that we’ve got two games there this summer and hopefully we can give the fans something to celebrate.”
Kent Members will enjoy complimentary entry to these two fixtures upon showing a valid Kent Cricket Membership card on entry.
This match will count as one day in the Six Pack Ticket Package.
