Captain issues rallying cry

As we move into this block of T20 games, I think it’s really important to reflect upon the progress we’ve made this year.

There have been some real stand out performances that have secured vital points in our Division One campaign. The fact that there are too many to mention demonstrates the strength and depth of our squad.

The Vitality Blast is a fantastic competition and I know all of us in the dressing room believe that this year we can better our 2018 quarter-final finish.

In addition to our talented squad here, having Hardus Viljoen and Mohammad Nabi join us along with the return of Adam Milne, means both our bowling and batting attacks pose a real threat against anyone we come up against. This should give us confidence to compete against any team in this competition.

On a personal note, I would like to thank everyone for your continued well wishes.

Of course, this is a format of the game that I really enjoy playing, and although I’m unable to join the lads out there at the moment, I am continuing to work hard behind the scenes to ensure I can get out there playing with the squad as soon as possible.

Putting the Kent shirt back on and playing is a real motivator for me throughout my rehab.

On behalf of the squad I’d like to once again thank you for your passionate support this season.

Enjoy tonight, bring the noise – you really can make all the difference in these exhilarating games!
