Charlotte Edwards nominated for BT Sport award

Kent Cricket Women's Team captain Charlotte Edwards has been nominated for the BT Sport Action Woman of the Year award.

The England skipper is one of ten contenders after a successful year winning honours with club and country.

Edwards lifted the Royal London One-Day County Championship with Kent after retaining the Ashes with England in Australia.

England recovered from a home Test defeat this summer with One-Day and T20 wins against India and South Africa.

Other nominees include world champion rugby star Emily Scarratt, Olympic skeleton champion Lizzy Yarnold and world champion rowers Helen Glover and Heather Stanning.
