Charlotte Edwards stars again as England win 2nd Natwest T20 v South Africa

Kent skipper Charlotte Edwards led by example as England clinched theNatWest International Twenty20 series in Northampton.

Edwards won the toss and elected to bat first at The County Ground then hit 75 not out from 61 balls.

Her 70-minute performance included eleven boundaries as the hosts reached 141-3 with 22 from Lauren Winfield and Kent teammate Lydia Greenway scored 13 runs off nine deliveries.

South Africa started their reply strongly with 34 from opener Dane van Niekerk and Marizanne Kapp's 27.

Jenny Gunn was the pick of the bowlers with 3-13 and good spells from Heather Knight (2-13) and Anya Shrubsole 2-26.

Wicketkeeper Sarah Taylor took three stumpings as the tourists collapsed, losing the final five wickets for just 15 runs.

Edwards was named woman of the match as England clinched the win by 42 runs to seal an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
